Conduit Site and Review Website Templates

Cheow, August 15th, 2008 · No Comments

Building conduit site and review websites are your best bet to succeed in affiliate marketing. The conduit and review websites that you are going to build will be your assets for live. Instead of just relying on EzineArticles.com articles and Squidoo lens, you should start building these money-making sites now. So what exactly is a conduit site?

A conduit site is a website that is built based on the Conduit Method (by Chris Rempel). The aim of a conduit site is to allow affiliate marketers to produce one site after the next that generate high affiliate revenue with very little overall traffic. According to Chris Rempel, the conduit method is the only affiliate marketing strategy that affiliates can leverage on the effort of the merchants that they promote… and it allows us affiliates to create hundreds of pages of unique content without much effort and research.

One of the most common roadblocks that many affiliate marketers are facing when building conduit and review sites is the lack of technical skills and know-hows to build websites. Many affiliate marketers are not designers and web programmers by nature, therefore sometimes building websites can be hard for them. As an affiliate marketer myself, I fully understand the frustration that marketers get during the development phase… sometimes because of our urge to get things done quickly, we do a very bad job at it.

The single most important factor in order to have a winning review or conduit site is to have a nicely done up website. Your site design and navigation must be good so as to entice visitors to browse through your site and click on your affiliate links.

There are different strategies when it comes to building a Conduit Site and a Review Site. Personally, I use Wordpress template for Conduit, and XSitePro template for Review site. If you want to build assets and increase your affiliate income, you seriously need to start building either one of the above type of sites now.

To make money with affiliate marketing, you do not necessary need to work harder - like becoming a writing maniac and force yourself to write at least 5 articles everyday, or worrying about your articles’ rankings on Google, etc. Instead - you just need to work SMARTER. Find things that you can leverage on and start building your very own assets that will last for many years to come.

All right, is 1:43Am here in Singapore and it is time for me to sleep. Blog soon.

XSitePro Review - An Honest Review On This Website Builder Software

Cheow, July 12th, 2008 · No Comments

XSitePro is a website builder software that is recommended by Chris Rempel in his book Confessions. It is an easy-to-use program that can assist you to build professional mini-sites easily. Building mini-sites that rank well for long-tailed keywords on search engines is the best way to generate a consistent affiliate income in the long run.

I have purchased XSitePro recently and tried it out myself. It cost me US $197 for a single user license. After trying it out for a week, I think that it is a very useful software for us affiliate marketers. However, it also has weaknesses which I will talk about it later.

What’s Hot:

The biggest strength of XSitePro is that it makes building websites so easy. With XSitePro, a 100 page article site, does not require you to take more than an hour or two to build, including the search engine optimization needed to start marketing the site right away. XSitePro is built for internet marketers. The architecture of the XSitePro websites is search engine friendly which will not jeopardize your SEO effort.

Another very powerful strength of XSitePro is that you can easily import files from your computer’s directories. If you already have articles written in Words documents, you can easily import them onto XSitePro and use formatting during the import that will add keyword tokens and titles, and make the content pages consistent in appearance. This is a very important feature for marketers. For your site to rank high for various long-tailed keywords, you need article pages. This means that you will be going to add article pages every now and then to your site. With XSitePro, you do not need to sweat on it anymore.

What’s Not:

The biggest weakness about XSitePro is that the website templates that it offers usually have the same look-and-feel between them. Therefore, sites built using XSitePro tend to look similar. So if you are someone who likes flexibility in the design of the site, you may want to use a more customizable website builder.

Why Is It Useful For Affiliate Marketers?

If you have been following my blog posts, by now you should know that building websites and assets is the way to generate a consistent affiliate income online. Methods like bum marketing has a very low-level of entry, whereby anyone will be able to enter and compete with you. You need to start building online assets like websites, lists, products, etc. If you still do not understand what I am talking about, you should read Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate now.

So with XSitePro, it reduces the amount of time that you need to build a mini-site. It saves you lots of time and effort during the design and web-building phase, which allows you to market your site out on the Internet faster.

Overall:

Personally, I feel that XSitePro is a good buy for me as it is an ideal website builder built for marketers. The major strength I see in XSitePro is that is makes professional site-building quick and easy.

Mini-Site VS Squeeze Page in Affiliate Marketing…

Cheow, July 9th, 2008 · No Comments

Currently, I am now in the stage of affiliate marketing whereby I am creating sites to market affiliate products. Websites to me are assets when it comes to marketing online… If you really want to differentiate yourself from other marketers and build a substantial income online, you need to build your own assets (online assets are: mini-sites, squeeze pages, opt-in lists, free reports, your own e-books, etc)

In the past, I used to just depend on Bum Marketing to promote affiliate products. I wrote articles and build Squidoo lens to market products and get sales here and there. Then, I moved on to build Squeeze page to capture email addresses and names, building lists for different niches. Now, after reading Chris Rempel’s Confession of a Lazy Super Affiliate, I realize that building squeeze pages alone is not enough. The book shares with me the idea of building mini-sites so as to get multiple long-tailed keywords ranking in search engines… which will make traffic consistent and targeted. So when it comes to promoting an affiliate product, which one is better? Mini-site or Squeeze page?

One problem i found out about using a squeeze page to promote an affiliate product is that the website lacks content. When it lacks content, it is very hard for a squeeze page to rank high for multiple long-tailed keywords in search engines like Google. Without this, you are missing out on a major source of consistent free traffic from search engines.

See… when we promote an affiliate product, we are looking at consistent traffic and sales. You will not want to write articles every single day just to make sure that there are traffic going to your websites or squeeze pages.  Building a mini-site with lots of content targeted to your audience will eventually get your site rank high for multiple keywords on search engines. If you have done your initial research correctly by choosing the right product to promote, and creating the right content to attract the right group of people to your site, getting consistent affiliate sales for the affiliate product that you are promoting should not be too hard.

To build a mini-site, you can start off with creating one that consists of at least 20 pages. Out of the 20 pages, 5 pages will be product review pages. You will offer reviews of 5 different affiliate products on your website for the niche that you are in. As for the other 15 pages, place one article on each page. You need to have at least 15 articles that your target visitors are interested in. These 15 articles are extremely important if you want to achieve success in long-tailed search engine optimization. The content that you write must be related to what you are promoting. For example, if your mini-site is about Registry Cleaning and promote various registry cleaning software, your articles should be about Do-It-Yourself (DIY) registry cleaning or software. In this case, your content will match the overall visitor profile of your website. Remember, relevancy is the key to online sales.

If you are worried about the technical work of building a website from stratch or writing articles yourself, do not worry. You can always outsource these work. For websites, you can hire a freelance designer to do up the site for you. You do not need to have a fanciful site: You just need a site which is clear in navigation and provide the content your target visitors want. If you have some money to invest and will love how to build sites easily, you might want to look into XSitePro. It is a software which allows you to build content website easily. For articles, you can start off by writing the first one or two and outsource the rest of them for $10 an article. Saves yourself an entire day of writing with just $100… well worth it!

The road is hard… there is no easy way to earn a substantial affiliate income online. You need to start somewhere, stop procrastinating, and take action. Start building your first mini-site now. Do not worry about whether it is a success or a dud at this point of time. The key is to start and build one first. You can fine-tune and optimize it as time goes by.
