How to Differentiate Yourself From Other Affiliates?

People who are just starting to learn about affiliate marketing may know that affiliate marketing is about promoting other people products. You will not need to design your own sales page, create your own product, answer customers’ inquires, etc. But many people just jump straight into affiliate marketing by promoting ANY product, without having a marketing plan for it…

In affiliate marketing, choosing the right product in the right niche is one of the most important keys to success. It is too easy to go to Clickbank and choose any product to promote, but the problem is there are tons of people out there who promote the same product as you.

So how can you differentiate your promotion from theirs so that people will buy from you instead of your competitors? Let me share with you some points to take note of:

1. Choose an unexplored product. All the hot products on the Internet are already been heavily promoted by affiliates all around the globe. Unless you are a super affiliate with good marketing plan, it will be quite hard for you to beat the other promotions that are already out there on the Internet. Therefore, if you can locate an unexplored product with potential, you can be the first few to promote the product for more profits.

2. Do not jump from an affiliate product to another affiliate product too fast. This shows that you will need to have a precise marketing plan for each affiliate product that you are going to promote. You will need to know how long you are going to promote it, what are the marketing channels you are going to use first, etc. Sometimes, people changes product too soon before sales are coming in.

3. Writing articles. By writing informative articles promoting the product, you are establishing yourself as an expert in that particular field that you are promoting. Credential is one of the things that separate you from your competitors.

4. Have a landing page. By driving traffic to your website first before directing them to the affiliate product’s sales page, people will get to know your website first. By offering unique free content, reviews, and free gifts on your site, you are actually differentiating yourself from other competitors already.

If you can clearly differentiate yourself from other affiliates that are promoting the same product as you, you will be able to capture the majority of the affiliate market share. Do not forget to build your list too while you are promoting affiliate products.
