Common Myths of SEO

SEO increases the number of traffic to your websites via natural search engine listings. With these targeted traffic, you are more likely to entice people to opt into your list and make affiliate commission.

Therefore, it is extremly important to implement SEO to all your squeeze pages and review sites.

One important factor that determines whether you can achieve success with SEO is link building. You must build links consistently and increases your website link popularity. With higher link popularity, you can achieve higher rankings for important keywords that you are targeting.

One common myth about SEO and link building is that many people think that leaving a link on an inner page that is new or has zero PageRank (PR) inside of a high PR domain site will do your site no good. Nothing is further than the truth.

If the inner page is “DoFollow” (which means it actually allows search engine robots to follow the link and pass PR to your website), putting a link on a zero PR inner page of a high PR website is definitely going to give your site good link popualrity.

Another myth of SEO is that some people think that by building more than 2 links a day, Google will penalize their website. To get penalized by Google, you need to build THOUSANDS of links a day. Building thousands of links in a same niche does not seems natural to Google. But trust me, anything less is fine.

Next, a myth that gets passed around a lot is that you must have relevant links in the same niche of your website if not Google will penelize your site. Yes, having relevant link is definitely good, but links that are not relevant also counts.
